Your rights and protections include:
- The right to acquire, possess, and protect your property.
- The right to use and enjoy your property.
- The right to exclude others from your property.
- The right to dispose of your property.
- The right to due process.
- The right to just compensation for property taken for a public purpose.
- The right to relief, or payment of compensation, when a new law, rule, regulation, or ordinance of the state or a political entity unfairly affects your property.
IMPORTANT DATES
In the process of finalizing Tax Bills for 2024, effective 9/25/2024, any submittals for parcel splits, combinations or plat recordings will be on hold and will not be processed by our office until the 2024 taxes have been paid.
You’re welcome to inform us once the 2024 tax bill payment has been made via email to mapping@scpafl.org. The tax bills are expected to be mailed by the Tax Collector on or about October 27, 2024. They will begin accepting payments on Friday, November 1st. The Tax Collector accepts payments in person, by mail, or online at https://www.seminolecounty.tax/
For the best service and so that you can avoid long lines at the regular filing time, we recommend pre-filing your application online or in our office.
Here's when you can file:
- January 1st through March 1st - Regular Filing time (For the current tax year)
- March 2nd through December 31st - Pre-filing (For the upcoming tax year)
File for Homestead Now!
TRIMS will be mailed mid-August.
The deadline to file a petition is September 16, 2024.
